DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are seeking a Systems Team Lead (STL) to operate in all stages of product development related to avionics or eco-friendly, hybrid, and electric power management products for ground vehicles. The STL reports to the integrated product team leader (IPTL) and manages the entire life cycle including requirements management/generation, system design and development, component obsolescence, failure analyses, reliability investigations, integration, verification, as well as transition to manufacturing and sustainment related to the specific product area. In this capacity, the STL is responsible for leading the definition of functional work splits and Interface Control Documents for major Mechanical, Hardware, Software, & FPGA components interfacing and coordinating with subject matter experts in each area. You will lead an engineering team and will have full responsibility and authority to execute projects within the programmatic guidelines set by the product team leader, program manager and customer.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Required Skills
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical field
  • Experience with System level requirements generation
  • Experience with System level test plans and Verification
  • Project engineering management including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, and product verification
  • Technical, cost, and schedule estimating, planning, performance management, and risk management
  • Lead diverse multi-location teams in the solution of complex technical problems
  • Team building, collaboration and coordination within and across teams and functions
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues
Preferred Skills and Education

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree in System Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical field
  • BS with 12+ Years of Experience, MS/PhD with 10+ Years' Experience

Experience in any the following areas are a plus.
  • Eligible for Secret Security clearance
  • Earned Value Management System and Control Account Management
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP)
  • Experience with Configuration / Change Management (CM) Systems such as Razor or Synergy
  • Experience with requirements control systems such as DOORS
  • Higher level programming & scripting languages such as JAVA, Perl, Matlab & Simulink etc.
  • Experience in a Safety Critical or Functional Safety Real Time Embedded Electronics Industry such as:

    • Aerospace, Military, Medical, Automotive, Industrial / Energy / Nuclear, Internet of Things (IoT)

  • Experience with Safety Critical or Functional Safety industry standards such as:
    • DO-178B, DO-178C, IEC 62304, IEC 62368, IEC 61508, ISO 26262
