Systems Integration Network Engineer II
The Systems Integration Engineer will provide technical support for BAE Systems projects based in our Spring Lake, NC office and act as a technical liaison between the Spring Lake office and our larger Engineering facilities located in Chesapeake, VA and Lexington Park, MD. The successful candidate will act as our Engineering lead for network and VTC intensive projects and will provide technical liaison services when other technical skills (HVAC, RF Communications, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, IA, etc.) are required. As an Engineering Department liaison, the Systems Integration Engineer will provide a full-time Engineering Department point-of-presence to resolve technical problems in consultation with Engineers and Technicians at our VA and MD facilities. The Systems Integration Engineer will develop concept drawings, equipment lists, single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, cable run sheets, and other technical documentation to describe network system designs as required.
Travel will occasionally be required for site surveys or technical meetings. In unusual cases, travel may extend to greater than 25% of a standard work week. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education BSEE or BSME from an ABET accredited college or university and at least two years of related experience
Ability to capture requirements and scope of customers’ desired systems and develop compliant system designs
Strong communications skills and ability to liaison between local Project Managers and Engineers at remote facilities
Ability to provide work instructions and technical guidance to integration and assembly personnel.
Ability to develop and provide design concept presentations while representing BAE Systems and our US Government customers
One or more IAT Level II Certifications (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP)
Active security clearance (eligible for TS) Preferred Skills and Education CCNA-Security certification
Prior US Military network experience and/or network training
