Systems Engineering Lead
BAE Systems is seeking a first line functional manager with leadership experience. The manager will be a senior member of the Systems Engineering organization. The position requires the candidate to supervise, lead and develop 10 to 15 Systems Engineers at locations in southern NH and Lexington, MA while contributing technically to a program.

Day-to-day staffing assignments
Participating in the hiring process
Evaluation of performance
Mentoring of junior engineers
Ensuring engineering adhere to company policies and procedures
BAE Systems employs a player-coach model for the Section Manager role. The Section Manager mentors and coaches the other members of the Section while also being an active participant in the development and delivery of systems to our customers.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- Requires BS in Engineering & 8 years in Engineering or Masters in Engineering & 6 years in Engineering.
- Proven Systems Engineering background and leadership skills with experience in system engineering management, cost account management, schedule management, risk management, requirements development, requirements decomposition, trades studies, and system integration and verification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in communicating technical concepts to Government labs.
- U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred EO/IR and image processing experience
