Systems Engineer Intern (Summer 2020)

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Summer 2020 Intern (Systems Engineer with Mechanical or Electrical focus) to be a part of our Systems Integration Test team working on the US and UK TRIDENT Submarine Strategic Weapon System and US Attack Weapon System programs. The selected candidate will work closely with numerous engineering teams supporting Strategic Systems Programs.

Our primary function is to ensure the proper testing and verification of weapon system interface requirements. This is achieved by interfacing with government and contractor activities to define and conduct the appropriate weapon system testing.

Typical Education & Experience
.

Required Skills and Education
-Completion of Sophomore year in engineering program
-Understanding of basic engineering principles
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
-Proficiency with PC and MS Office Suite

Preferred Skills and Education
- Completion of Junior Year of Engineering degree program
-Experience with CREO or other 3D CAD software, DOORS, MATLAB, MagicDraw
-Active DOD Security Clearance
