Systems Engineer - Integration and Test

Job Description
As the Senior Engineer, support lifecycle development processes for creating and implementing architectural models, from early product concept through detailed design, integration, test and sustainment phases. Participate heavily as a value-added contributor in hardware and software development tools, techniques and procedures (TTP) for projects including embedded, real-time development, high-performance computing, EO/IR, aiming systems, laser systems, mission computing, vehicle threat management and computer test stand development. Use strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of customers, distributed teams and demanding program constraints to achieve exceptional performance.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Experience performing Integration and Test
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and document systems, software and hardware requirements
  • Allocating system requirements to subsystem requirements & creating supplier specifications for custom optical designs
  • Willingness to provide manufacturing support for optical imaging test equipment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience with military air or ground vehicle systems
  • Experience with use of software configuration management (SCM) tools (Perforce, Git, Stash
  • Knowledge and experience with maturing technology from TRL 3 to TRL 7+
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing support for optical imaging test equipment
  • Knowledge and experience analyzing infrared optical system performance with NV-IPM or NVThermIP modeling software
  • Experience with NI products: LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, TestStand
