Electronic Combat Systems is looking for an experienced systems engineer to contribute to the technical development on a program within our defense portfolio. As a Systems Engineer, you will work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate, debug, and test our Electronic Warfare systems. Focused on delivering innovative Electronic Warfare solutions through the lifecycle of system development, requirements development, integration & test, test planning, and execution in a field deployment environment.
Job responsibilities may include:
- Creation and/or review of operational concepts
- Creation of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements
- Creation of external and internal interface definitions
- Creation of preliminary designs
- Creation and/or review of algorithms
- Creation of traceability matrix of higher level requirements to lowest level requirements
- Allocation of requirements to engineering disciplines
- Participation in trade studies
- Participation in peer reviews
- Creation of test plans
- Creation of test procedures and reports
- Execution of integration, verification and validation tests
- Participation in customer meetings
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Must have bachelor degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum of:
14+ Years with AA
12+ Years with BS
10+ Years with MS
8+ Years with PHD
If no degree, 16+ years of work experience in a relevant field
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Must have experience as a systems engineer
Must have experience in identifying technical risks
Must have experience with planning, conducting or contributing to trade studies
Must be able to track progress on assigned tasks and report progress to team leadership
Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience in performing requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions
Experience with integration and test
Experience leading small teams
Exposure to technical performance measurements
