Systems Administrator Active Directory (Texas)
The Systems Administrator (Active Directory) will perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Additional desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
Manage the replication of directory information within the active directory and make any enterprise level changes to the AD directory, such as schema modifications and replicated user data. Provide expertise in NetIQ Domain Resource Administrator (DRA) for AD standardization.
Provide support with policies and procedures governing the use of Microsoft active directory and the AD standardization tool.
Create and maintain all top-level organizational unit (OU) hierarchies, groups, and appropriate security permissions, add OU administrators to the groups, Group Policy Object (GPO) Owners groups, and OU Administrators mail list with appropriate permissions settings on the created objects.
Provide weekly reporting on all privileged account status, permission changes, and other changes that affect the security or baseline of the program.
Provide oversight and guidance to all authorized users in the use and administration of the AD standardization tool at the Enterprise Service Centers.
Stay abreast of upgrades and patches for the existing AD standardization tool and provide recommendations on implementation. Use approved change processes whenever modifying the tool or its configuration. Troubleshoot and mitigate faults with the tool.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Required education: High School/GED
3 years of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems. Preferred Skills and Education
- Must possess and maintain an active security clearance.
- 3 years of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering).
- An additional four years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
- MCSE Certification.
- DoD 8570 certification.
