Systems Administrator

Provide operational SME technical support for the integration of software and services into C4I information technology systems equipment, systems, and subsystems for the Marine Corps and Department of Defense. The applicant will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting computing platforms, COMSEC hardware, and enterprise management solutions in support of government requirements and assist with the planning, installing, documenting, and testing of the systems equipment for deployment.

These services to support the C4I information technology infrastructure include:

Install, Configure, Test, and Troubleshoot systems equipment, systems, and subsystems including the OS up. Perform software installations and upgrades to systems equipment, systems, and subsystems. Provide information system test, modification, installation, implementation, security, and documentation to meet the evolving system requirements and reporting needs of projects and management.

This position is located at Camp Pendleton, CA but may require travel. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing proximate to Camp Pendleton or state willingness to relocate self to the surrounding area.

Minimum Education and Experience Associate degree or military information systems training and at least 2 years of related experience Required Skills and Education Associate degree or military information systems training and at least 2 years of related experience

Experience with MS Windows Server 2008

Experience with IT installations in classified environments

Experience with testing and/or maintaining USMC C4I equipment, systems and subsystems including communications security devices

Knowledge of Marine Corps IT architectures and infrastructures, including policies and processes for ensuring the security and integrity of data networks

Knowledge of internet/network technologies and designs, networking protocols, and computer audit techniques/tools applied on DOD Information networks (DODIN)

Experience using data collection/analysis tools such as NetScout Appliances or Cascade Pilot/WireShark

Knowledge of system administration concepts for Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems

Proficiency in the following:

CISCO switches/routers/protocols

Active Directory Management

Storage Area Networks

Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Internet Protocol (IP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), and Ethernet Preferred Skills and Education CISCO Certified (CCNA or CCNP)

Certified MS Windows Server 2008

Experience designing, supporting, and maintaining VoIP systems

Experience in establishing and administration of large scale Wide Area Networks (WAN)

Knowledge of system administration concepts for Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
