BAE Systems is looking for an End User Device Services Lead for a Government Customer in the Springfield, Virginia area. This person will oversee a team that is providing global IT services around the globe. A clearance with Polygraph is required. The End User Device Services Lead will be responsible for the following tasks:

Technical Work Description:

The End User Device Services Lead will oversee the O&S support for workstation, thin, and zero clients. It also includes support for a narrow range of peripherals, including media players and recorders, security readers, and any necessary cables.

Technical skills required include Microsoft Windows, Office, Remote Desktop Access, and other Microsoft and 3rd party software components. Skills are generally low complexity, requiring in-depth familiarity of the operations of client devices, peripherals, and software. All of these skills are suitable for cross training into almost all other services.

Supervise the Workstation/Client Devices Standard Change Request – This work consists of conducting installs, moves, adds, changes and disposal for client devices (workstations, thin, and zero clients and a subset of peripherals: media & authentication devices, plus cables). Work generally begins with a service desk ticket.

Peripherals O&S – This work consists of O&S support for peripherals, including monitors, keyboard, mouse, KVM switches, media converters, speakers, and similar.

Remote support is not available for many of this class of device, as problems tend to be mechanical in nature, and only resolvable with a direct visit.

Monitors Standard Change Request - Install, Move, Add, Change, Disposal (IMACD) – This work consists of conducting installs, moves, adds, changes and disposal for peripheral devices (including monitors, keyboard, mouse, KVM switches, media converters, speakers, and similar). Work generally begins with a service desk ticket.

Voice Devices O&S – This work consists of O&S support for various voice-video telephony devices, including VoIP phones, standard telephones, conference room phones, and fax machines, as well as any associated peripherals attached to the devices. Work includes either remote support, as feasible, or desk side support when necessary.

Voice Devices Standard Change Request - Install, Move, Add, Change, Disposal (IMACD) –. This work consists of install, move, add, change & disposal (IMACD) activities for various voice-video telephony devices, including VoIP phones, standard telephones, conference room phones, and fax machines, as well as any associated peripherals attached to the devices. Work includes either remote support, as feasible, or desk side support when necessary. Tasks include various IMACD actions associated with voice devices.

Printer, Scanner, Plotter and Copier Devices O&S – This work consists of O&S support for various print, scan and copy device types, whether stand alone, or attached to a workstation, and attached cables and peripherals, such as authentication devices. Service generally begins with an incident conveyed to us via the Service Desk. We monitor all devices, to track consumables and generate automatic Service Desk tickets for necessary replacements (e.g., ink, cartridges, and paper).

Printer, Scanner, Plotter and Copier Devices Standard Change Request - Install, Move, Add, Change, Disposal (IMACD) – This work consists of install, move, add, change, & disposal (IMACD) various print, scan and copy device types, whether stand alone, or attached to a workstation, and attached cables and peripherals, such as authentication devices. Service generally begins with an IMACD is conveyed to us via the Service Desk. Work includes the devices themselves, as well as their consumables.

Technical skills required include knowledge of the various device types, their components, and consumables, as well as the ability to troubleshoot.

Personal IT Devices (PITD) O&S – This work consists of O&S activities for Personal IT Devices (PITDs). PITDs include smart phones, pagers, flip phones, tablets, laptops, remote access tokens, and various removable media when free floating.

Geodetic Survey Devices O&S – This work consists of O&S support for an inventory of geodetic devices. Devices include: GPS receivers, total stations, data recorders, theodolites, gravity meters, radios and gradiometers, along with various small related items including tripods, safety lights, and batteries. The product inventory includes Garmin & Trimble GPS devices, Lacoste & Romberg Gravimeters, EG&G Magnetometers, Kern, Leica & Wild-Heerbrugg Theodolites, and other various devices (beacons, transmitters, receivers).
