Systems Admin II

BAE Systems is seeking a motivated professional to provide system administration, maintenance, and end user support to a large specialized government network. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills to assist users via phone, chat, and email. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support day to day end user needs. Provide system administration of all aspects of the systems to include creating accounts, changing passwords, and tracking user metrics. Perform periodic maintenance, monitor for problems, and resolve system and user issues. Develop or update system documentation with government supervision, guidance, and approvals. Act as a conduit between users and specialized network engineers to quickly resolve system outages and user issues as well as to identify and implement appropriate technologies which will most effectively support an identified investigative need. Assist with technology assessments and planning and implementation phases for complex network solutions. Solve user problems requiring patience while providing user education and training. Assist in providing logs and system metrics concerning system usage, requests for assistance, request resolutions, and pending requests. This position requires rotational remote support to provide end user support 24/7/365.
