Job Description
Come join the Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) team as a senior systems administrator that supports all the technology for an important law enforcement mission in a state of the art computer forensic laboratory. The Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) program provides forensic services and expertise to support law enforcement agencies in collecting and examining digital evidence to support a wide range of investigations, including child pornography, terrorism, violent crime, and fraud. As with all evidence gathering and analysis, it takes a trained and skilled hand to gather digital evidence correctly and legally while preserving the integrity of the data and files. RCFLs provide law enforcement access to digital forensics experts and also allow state and local personnel to train on cutting-edge evidence gathering techniques. Join our RCFL support team where you will interact with digital forensics and law enforcement experts using the latest tools and techniques across a wide variety of terrorism and law enforcement investigations in a state-of-the art lab environment.

The ideal candidate can provide on-site technical and operational support in the installation, operation, and maintenance of special purpose computer basedclient server systems and equipment. Experience with SAN/DAS/NAS configurations and administration is preferable. Hyper-V experience and firewall configuration are highly desirable. Candidate should have the ability to analyze complex hardware and software malfunctions and implement solutions. Superior interpersonal skills required for daily interface with customer management, technical, and operator personnel.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
1. Active and current Security Clearance.

2. HS degree +8 years of experience.

3. Experience implementing and operating client-server, LAN/WAN systems,
architectures, and interface equipment.

4. Windows system administration experience including, Active Directory, GPO configuration,
and Client systems support

Preferred Skills and Education
1. BS degree with an emphasis in Information Systems/Computer Science with 4 years
of related experience.

2. High speed ethernet, fiber, router, and firewall experience.

3. Enterprise Storage administration experience.

4. Failover clustering experience.

5. Hyper-V administration experience.
