System Administrator

BAE Systems in Washington DC is seeking a System Administrator to support the Strategic Systems Program (SSP). Primary responsibilities include providing tier-2 support as well as Active Directory Management, Exchange Management, and RSA Token administration. The ideal candidate must possess strong problem solving skills; a high degree of technical expertise, and a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork. Candidate must be able to meet DoD Cyber workforce requirements within 6 months of being hired.

Duties for the position include the following:

  • Manage network accounts according to policies and procedures
  • Able to manage enterprise level systems to include domain controllers, web servers, and/or email services
  • Provide level-2 IT support to end users
  • Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and / or software related issues
  • Understands system life-cycle and applies it across an enterprise environment
  • Assist in the creation of processes and procedures for IT operations
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of multiple projects
  • Manage configuration, maintenance, and deployment of RSA tokens Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education · Excellent Verbal and Written Skills are paramount
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Group Policy configurations
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience with maintaining DOD system standards to include STIGs, critical patches and updates
  • Experience in network operational centers a plus
  • Experience with RSA Token administration
  • Experience with Windows Servers and Windows Desktop operating systems
  • Be familiar with VmWare, vSphere and virtualized architectures

Preferred Skills and Education · CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent
