Support Specialist IV
Performs various administrative support duties for the Government Property Department for one or more supervisors, managers, individual contributors, or organizational unit. Sets priorities and organizes own work. Gathers, compiles, and reports information relevant to a given assignment. Operates standard office equipment relevant to the function. Performs light typing.
Performs a variety of government property activities to aid in ensuring compliance to mandated company and federal requirements. May be responsible for specific processes. Performs administrative functions in support of an organizational unit by assisting administrative, technical, and/or management personnel. Gathers information, prepares special reports, maintains records, and projects future trends.
Coordinates and tracks activities/projects that require knowledge of standardized procedures and guidelines in support of department-specific functions: e.g. maintaining department data manually or on a PC, running standard reports, initiating and tracking.
Works on special projects, as assigned, which may involve the application of technical, accounting, or budgeting knowledge, or similar knowledge/skills pertinent to the function involved.
Researches, analyzes, and locates data and/or materials. Reconciles records. Composes routine correspondence. Maintains files/records in established files/systems and retrieves upon request or by schedule.
Interfaces with internal customers on specific process controls and tasks.
Follows security and safety requirements (i.e. issuing badges, logging personal equipment, recording arrivals and departures)
Participates in government, internal, or external audits. Conducts inventory of materials and/or data, etc. Coordinates/schedules work and/or people for assigned area.
Makes and/or assists with arrangements for travel, meetings, tours, conferences, seminars, etc., including scheduling rooms, planning and ordering refreshments, and arranging for equipment. Performs general administrative tasks such as making copies and filing paperwork.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Required Skills and Education HS Diploma plus 5 years of experience.
Experience in Government Property Preferred Skills and Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred. More than 10 years of relevant work experience in the defense industry.
Ability to interpret and manipulate complex data and/or systems. Analyze and generate complex data/reports. Resolve complex issues. Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills using independent judgment. Ability to analyze, create, and generate a variety of complex reports for the functional area, and make recommendations. Write desk top procedures. Set priorities.
