Subcontract Administrator Principal

Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a subcontract professional that can mentor a team of subcontract administrators, as well as work with other functional executives to develop innovative subcontracting solutions for the business.

This individual will apply extensive technical expertise regarding subcontracts administration and will have the ability to resource and manage multiple priorities which requires excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Understanding and expertise in subcontract file management and file compliance.

Developing RFP packages and analyzing subcontract proposals.

Working collaboratively across the business and executing subcontracts within corporate policies and framework

Drafting complex agreements

Perform research on complex subcontracting matters and provide sound business advice and recommendations in accordance with regulations and in support of the company's initiatives

Negotiate and administer Non-Disclosure and Teaming Agreements

Coordinate cross-functionally to meet internal and external requirements and deadlines

Provide guidance and mentor-ship to junior staff

Actively participates in process improvement initiatives

This position can be filled in McLean, VA, California, MD, or other I&S location/facility.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Typical education and relevant experience:

Bachelor's Degree AND 6 years of Contract Administration experience

Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and defense contracting

Preferred Skills and Education
CFCM or CPCM Certification

Subcontract administration experience
