Structural Analysis Intern (Summer 2019)
This is a full-time intern position for the summer of 2019. The position involves working as a part of the structural dynamics analysis team, working with analysts and designers to perform simulations of weapons or weapons systems under severe loading conditions. The work will involve all parts of analysis: interfacing with designers, mesh generation, simulation, post-processing, and reporting results. The selected candidate needs to be organized and self-motivated and will use engineering principles in helping to model the physics and analyzing results.
Required Skills and Education
At least three years of study in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Civil Engineering,
including courses in deformable body mechanics or related areas. Preferred skills include familiarity with CAD software (such as Creo or Solidworks) and finite element software (such as ANSYS or ABAQUS).
Must be and rising senior as of June 2019 to fill this position.
