STARS #5 Radar SW Engineer

Job Description

The candidate participates as a member of the software development team - planning, scheduling, designing, implementing, integrating, and testing requisite software. The candidate creates and maintains the development and continuous integration environments for the software; develops software design documentation; participates in design reviews and code inspections; creates and maintains schedules for the implementation of software defect fixes and directed enhancements; and develops and presents technical briefings to leadership.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

• Understanding of radars
• Strong C++ software development
• Agile process implementation
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Secret clearance or interim

Preferred Skills and Education

• Ada software development
• PERL script knowledge
• Proficiency with UNIX or Linux operating systems
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and reporting practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
