Sr Supplier Quality Specialist
Develops and implements program quality plans and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies and data related to production. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.
Daily function is in the control of supplier quality oversight for the following tasks;
Vetting of suppliers including supplier audits, managing supplier recovery to schedule when quality is affecting contractual deliveries and providing liaison to manufacturing when investigating problems with supplier material on the manufacturing floor. Maintaining supplier quality records and systems. Customer interface for supplier quality issues. Provide instruction and direction to receiving inspectors in inspection methodology and receiving records. Performing source inspections and/or data reviews of complex parts and assemblies. Participating in contract, procurement, engineering and other reviews of specifications, drawings and contract deliverables.
Supplier Quality Specialist will analyze supplier defect/performance data and translate it into an actionable approach. Supplier Quality Specialist will ensure ISO 9001 Quality Management System is maintained, including its audit program. The Specialist will ensure that all incoming products, intermediate products, and finished products conform to applicable specification requirements. Overall, the job requires the candidate to implement program and supplier quality plans and procedures. Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies and data related to production. Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interface with our government customers and outside vendors to ensure requirements are met. Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.
You must be a self-starting problem solver that will utilize your analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues and help identify trends. A strong desire and mindset to drive actions and projects to closure without being prompted is a must. Strong communication skills are required. Generate and present work artifacts progress reports. Ability to summarize briefing/findings tailored to specific audiences. Assist in other areas of department or other departments as required
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Ability to read GD&T features and engineering drawings
Ability to communicate with peers and vertical and subordinate workers within BAE
Have good written and verbal skills
Be able to use Microsoft Office products
Must have experience with Quality Management Systems - Such as ISO 9001, AS9100
