Sr. Subcontract Administrator

Job Description
To procure materials, equipment, supplies and services of a highly specialized and complex nature which may require alterations or customizing to meet the requestor's specific need and specifications. May lead activities of subcontract administration teams on assigned programs required for the sourcing of complex (i.e. engineering development) programs for material, software, and services. This is accomplished following established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations. Responsible for Procurement Compliance and Cost/Price Analysis.

This position is in support of a large development and production program and emphasis on supplier management, development and production ramp-up subcontracts, and negotiating and ensuring compliance to high value/complex subcontracts. A successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator internally and externally, build mutually beneficial relationships, willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally at all levels and in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Graduate Degree in a related field.
  • Typical Related Experience: Four plus years experience in project management, manufacturing engineering, operations management, supply chain, negotiations, cost/price analysis, or contract management. Candidates with technical background are encouraged to apply.
