Sr Quality Engineer
BAE Systems is looking for an Operations Sr. Quality Engineer for their Austin, TX facility. In this role you will provide Quality Engineering floor support, guidance and instruction to inspectors, operators and other functional personnel in support of manufacturing.
Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluations and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conducts quality assurance tests. Perform Product Process Verifications/First Article Inspections.
Perform First Article Inspections.
Perform trend analysis and utilize six-sigma quality methodologies help drive continuous improvement. May be required to obtain Green Belt Certification.
Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to lead Root Cause Corrective Actions and Teams. Proven teamwork and leadership skills; able to work across "boundaries" with multiple functions and program teams.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
