Sr Principal System Verilog / UVM Verification Engineer

Job Description

As a Senior System Verilog/UVM Verification Engineer at BAE Systems, you will help develop a simulation test bench to simulate and verify complex VHDL FPGA designs that include custom sensor interfaces, DDR4, PCIe, AXI, Aurora etc.. You will be expected to develop test plans, functional coverage points, as well as Universal Verification Components (UVCs) including agents monitors, scoreboards, sequencers, and sequences, which utilize scripts, System Verilog, and UVM or UVM Framework.

You will develop test cases, collect coverage, run interactive and regression simulations. You are expected to understand the systems level design down to the individual FPGAs as well as derive test requirements for verification plan and execute self-checking tests and document results. You will be working with systems engineers, FPGA designers, and other verification engineers in a fast paced dynamic environment. It is expected that you will create high quality test-bench components, which are well-documented, and easily used by the rest of the team for both top level and individual unit level reuse.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Verification experience with Xilinx FPGA's
System Verilog/UVM or OVM, including UVM Framework
Defining constrained random, self-checking test benches from scratch.
Creating Universal Verification Components (agents, monitors, scoreboards) from scratch.
Design and verification tools (Mentor Questa or Cadence, including Questa Verification IP's).
Test definitions for complex designs, code coverage, functional coverage, assertions.
Scripting (bash/csh, Perl, TCL, Python, etc.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic environment that includes working with changing needs and requirements.
