BAE Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Principal System Verilog/UVM FPGA Design Engineer in Nashua, NH.

This position is responsible for leading Verification engineers in technical development of complex DSP FPGA designs. Candidates should have experience managing schedules, generating responsible bids, assessing technical reviews and work products, developing test plans, and driving tasks to closure.

You will help develop a configurable testbench to simulate and verify complex VHDL FPGA designs that include ADC/DAC interfaces, DSP, and high speed SERDES. You will have the opportunity to drive the SystemVerilog/UVM methodology on a project. You will be expected to develop reusable Universal Verification Components (UVCs) including agents, monitors, scoreboards, etc. You will develop test cases, collect/analyze coverage, run interactive and regression simulations.

As an experienced Verification Engineer, you will have the opportunity to mentor several junior engineers on SystemVerilog/UVM and the Verification Process in a fast growing organization. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by other FPGA Design and Verification Engineers in the Electronic Warfare domain knowledge.

You will help innovate the way we use SystemVerilog/UVM, considering reuse. You will be expected to learn and understand the systems level design down to the individual FPGAs. You will be working with systems engineers, FPGA designers, and other verification engineers in a fast paced dynamic environment.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelors Degree in related engineering field, and 10+ years experience.
  • Experience with FPGA/ASIC design and verification tools (Mentor Questa or Cadence)
  • Experience developing constrained random, self-checking testbenches in SystemVerilog/UVM or OVM
  • Experience leading small to medium teams including accountability for cost, schedule, and quality
  • Demonstrated mentoring skills
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-site or "borderless" environment
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Digital Signal Processing experience
  • Matlab/Simulink
  • Perl/Python
  • VHDL Design experience
