Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Description

Provides financial support for highly complex direct programs with government customers. Responsible for preparing weekly cost reports that are delivered to the customer. Works closely with Program Management, Contracts, Subcontracts, Estimating, and other functions. Validates project setup and enters funding as received in CostPoint. Monitors, analyzes, and forecasts direct program costs and revenue. Reports and analyzes variance against budgets and funding. Prepares and submits cost transfers as required. Participates in customer meetings where program costs are discussed. Prepares monthly Contract Status Reports. Assists with forecasts in Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly Business Reviews. Reviews and oversees aspects of month end close. Ensures compliance with internal policies, contractual deliverables, and FAR government regulations. Provides training and supports development for more junior finance staff. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years work experience or equivalent experience
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
Strong business appropriate communication skills, highly organized and sharp attention to detail
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of CAS, FAR and DFARS, and GAAP or IFRS
Experience with government contracting, including Cost-Type and Firm Fixed Price programs

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience with Deltek CostPoint
Experience with Hyperion Planning
