Spv II- Ops

BAE Systems Louisville is hiring a alternate shift manufacturing supervisor responsible for driving the long-range strategic planning process for operations by overseeing and leading manufacturing operations on the alternate and overtime schedules. The candidate will be expected to translate customer requirements into manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective production as well as develop operations-related plans, budgets, and enforce policies and procedures and the requirements defined in the collective bargaining agreement. Maintain safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility; selects, develops and evaluates personnel.

Discretion/Latitude: Work will be performed under general direction from other shift leaders - participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completing for adequacy and meeting objectives. Self-starter able to accomplish tasks with little or no assistance.

Impact: Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.

Knowledge: Have a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards ; full knowledge of industry practices.

Liaison: Represents the organization as a contact for projects - interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
