In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics - whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management.

BAE Systems is looking for a department facilitator for our Manassas, Virginia Space Systems hardware design group. We are seeking an individual to perform activities such as on boarding new team members, handle equipment purchasing, coordinate subcontract staffing, championing Year One program for our site, ensure we are working within compliance of our Eng processes and being a leader and role model for junior staff.

You would be a member of the team whose products have been deployed in commercial, civil and national security space missions; including GPS, weather monitoring, satellite TV and radio, exploring the universe; most notably the Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. With this job, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of developing hardware from concept to deployment.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience

•Ability communicate well across functions and multiple locations

•Coordinate, manage, and deliver to meet organizational needs (including IT equipment, subcontractor support, training)

•Ability to lead small teams

• Familiarity with engineering design processes and procedures

Preferred Skills and Education

• Experience on boarding new hires

• Experience purchasing IT equipment and working with procurement

• Experience collecting and reporting status and metrics

• Experience in leading small programs for an organization

• Experience working in very dynamic & fast paced working environment
