Our BAE Systems - Space Systems business is continuing its dynamic growth due to the expansion of current programs and the award of new contracts. As a result, we have immediate openings in a number of Space engineering disciplines at a variety of levels from Mid-Level Engineers to Subject Matter Experts to Managerial opportunities.

BAE Space Systems is highly touted as an industry leader for its suite of radiation hardened products. BAE Systems Manassas leverages decades of expertise in designing and building robust Space products that can be found on almost all commercial, civil and national security Space missions. These missions include GPS, weather monitoring, satellite TV and radio, and exploring the universe (most notably the computers on all Mars rovers). From semiconductor components to ASICS to Circuit Card Assemblies and Sub-Systems, our products are ubiquitous throughout Earth's orbit and beyond.

For this hiring event, we are focusing on the national security programs where our Space Systems create capabilities that support the mission: "We protect those who protect us."

We are seeking qualified cleared individuals (primarily Top Secret clearance or above) who want to be involved in the exciting universe of space systems.

Positions include:

  • RF engineering - payloads, mission, systems and design
  • Optical engineering - scientists, systems, design, manufacturing and process
  • Lasercom - payloads, mission, systems and design
  • Space mission requirements - operations and battle management
  • System and payload test and integration - RF, digital, optical and laser
  • Test software and hardware - digital, analog and RF
  • Software engineering - payloads, mission, embedded and applications
  • Digital and analog hardware - boxes, boards, FPGA/ASIC, circuits and power
  • DSP and algorithms - design, modeling and applications
  • Radiation effects - design, mitigation and analysis
  • Mechanical engineering - design and analysis
  • Component engineering - parts, reliability and suppliers

We will be holding a job fair focusing on hiring for our Manassas, VA site on June 12 th .

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience. The higher level the position, the more years of work experience and degree preferred.

Required Skills and Education

BS degree in Engineering or related discipline
At least 5 years experience in one of the above listed areas.
Active Security clearance - Top Secret / SCI clearance highly preferred
