Software Engineering / Technical Lead
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support the growth of a new office. You'll utilize and influence software best practices, tools and techniques to help us Protect those who Protect Us by developing and maintaining complex aircraft survivability equipment software.
You will work in one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in the country - Huntsville, AL, where you'll participate in the software development lifecycle including creating and refining architectural models from early requirements development through detailed design, integration, test and sustainment while applying and developing your software engineering skills.
You'll utilize a wide variety of tools including JIRA/Bitbucket, Linux, vxWorks, C/C++, Ada 2012, Python, C#, Jenkins, Coverity, etc. Successful candidate will have skills in several of these technologies and a willingness to learn.
Travel up to 10% of the time to support new business pursuits, visit other BAE Systems facilities across the country, perform critical program activities and attend networking events and training.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Experience developing real-time embedded software products using Linux based development environments. Experience providing technical leadership to other engineers.
