Software Engineering Specialist

Job Description
The Software Engineering Specialist at Los Angeles AFB, CA supporting the US Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate (SMC/ECL) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Contract designs and develops applications software and systems. Collaborates with hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs,, analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls,, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

Experience with the following: planning, design, development, and maintenance of Enterprise Web Based Applications, working closely with internal and external organizations to support various customer user and application level requirements including resolving elevated end user support requests, researching and integrating advanced technologies, analyzing business processes, system requirements development, implementing approved application configuration changes, supporting application support triage, monitoring, tracking, correlation and event escalation, provides technical assistance, and training and system documentation for users.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Education Level: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM-related Field

Experience: Minimum: 5-years experience for Bachelors
