Survivability Targeting & Sensing Solutions (STS) integrate state of the art sensors, displays and lasers into offerings that provide superior imaging, targeting, guidance, and survivability capabilities.

Position duties include developing software designs for complex Infrared Aircraft Protection systems or subsystems. You will perform real-time, embedded software development utilizing sound Object Oriented principles, conforming to existing code development strategies and processes both independently and as part of a team. You will be designing and evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws, troubleshoot problems during integration and test, and help with preparing design documentation in accordance with established processes. You will verify complex designs to ensure conformance with specifications and customer requirements and assist in the development of software requirements, cost estimates and the preparation of proposals. Opportunities are available to grow into a technical lead on the program where you will mentor your team and present the technical design at technical interchange meetings with the customer. You will utilize either a Windows or Linux PC based software development environment.

You will provide project management reporting, documentation, and updates to internal project management. There may be opportunities to participate and brief technical content to the customer during external reviews.

Candidates will be required to obtain and keep a security clearance.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Science, or other Scientific degree with suitable software engineering content, with 2+ year of experience or Master's degree in same disciplines with 0+ years' experience.

Proficient in C, C++
Real-time embedded development experience
Object Oriented Design/Development

Preferred Skills and Education

Ada experience strongly preferred
Java/Python/C# experience a plus
VxWorks and/or Linux Driver development
Windows/Unix/Linux OS
