We need your talent, motivation, vision, character and experience as a Senior Software Engineer to join Survivability, Targeting & Sensing Solutions' (STS) growing workforce here in Cummings Research Park. To accomplish this we build and integrate state of the art imaging, targeting, guidance, and survivability products. These products contain software, complex software that must be designed right the first time and built efficiently and correctly. Why? Because a soldier's life may very well depend on it. Here is what some of your work will include:

  • Designing, implementing and improving complex infrared aircraft protection software for real-time, embedded engineered systems
  • Guidance software that causes the destruction of bad guy ballistic missiles
  • You will use modern, object-oriented software principles in design and implementation
  • Your approach will be agile and forward-thinking...disruption is allowed
  • You will leverage high-level programming languages...or possibly invent your own
  • Your work will involve full software lifecycle activities from cradle to grave
  • You will help identify new markets and propose new solutions
Typical Education & Experience

Required Skills and Education
Being an engineer at heart, you will flourish in your new environment. You will sharpen your current software skills while pushing product design into the future with new technologies and approaches. Here are the skills you will need to be successful:
  • Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working, maintainable software
  • High-level language proficiency in one or more of these: C/C++, Python, Java, Ada
  • Multiple Operating System exposure including Linux and Real-Time Operating Systems
  • Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
  • Embedded system development
  • Experience using software version control systems like GIT, Jira, BitBucket, and IBM Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest
  • Experience writing software for Digital Signal Processing architectures is desirable
  • Automated software test development
  • Possess a Secret security clearance
