Software Development Engineer
The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Systems Directorate (ICBMSD) is required to develop and implement the logistics lifecycle plan to meet the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) reduction requirements for Minuteman III (MMIII) payloads, launchers and delivery vehicles. The objective is to complete the defined final Nuclear Triad portfolio in accordance with the New START Treaty and guidance from Air Force Global Strike Command.
The NST Program logistics efforts require sustaining engineering support throughout the preparation, drawdown and storage phases. Personnel will study stresses on non-deployed ICBM systems and sub-systems, determining what is necessary to maintain “A” condition assets for quick reconstitution. Personnel will conduct trade studies and assessments for delivery to the ICBMSD.
Employee shall possess and maintain a security clearance.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education -Programming background.
- Must have an ABET accredited engineering program, scientific, mathematics, or other technical or scientific based degree.
- Programming background in at least one language.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- Able to work Microsoft Office Suite and some technical writing skills.
- Employee shall possess and maintain a security clearance. Preferred Skills and Education A Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering Degree is highly preferred.
Strong or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studios.
Programming in C++, C Sharp, and Zamel.
Knowledge of mechanical systems.
