Shipboard System Installation and Repair Engineering Technician
The selected candidate will provide technical support on board US Navy ships on the AEGIS Radio Communications System. Perform circuit set-up, testing, alignments, troubleshooting, and repair of various communication equipment to include UHF, HF, EHF, and SHF. Work as a member of a team or individually to provide training to shipboard personnel on circuit set-up and troubleshooting methods. Attend meetings and provide daily status reports. Interface with various customers. Act as Team Lead for various shipboard installation teams. Compose detailed technical reports of test results and recommendations. Must be able to work in a shipyard environment and wear all required PPE.
This position is located in San Diego, CA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego, CA or surrounding areas.

Prior US Navy or Coast Guard shipboard experience
Ability to work in a shipyard environment and wear all required PPE
Active security clearance and ability to maintain
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematic drawings, and shipboard installation drawings
Ability to interface and communicate with senior and junior shipboard personnel
High school diploma and at least six years of related experience Preferred Skills and Education Experience as a technical instructor
