SharePoint Developer

Job Description

The position of SharePoint Developer involves building and configuring SharePoint websites using web user interface or SharePoint Designer 2013. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the customer to gather requirements for SharePoint site design and developing solutions, assisting in SharePoint project development, designing the customer's SharePoint site application around the core concepts of the customer's business process management, and maintaining site content. Additional duties may include working as a consultant on SharePoint customization projects and integration of data from outside sources. Traveling to the customer site will be required on a routine basis to interface with the customer for requirements meetings, demonstrations, training, and status reporting.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering and 3 years of experience OR Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering and 8 years of experience

Required Skills and Education

Excellent communication and customer service skills
At least two years of experience in developing solutions in SharePoint 2013
Experience gathering requirements from management and technical personnel and developing appropriate solutions
Experience creating collaborative portals and web pages and developing sites with SharePoint Designer
Experience creating custom forms with InfoPath
Experience developing custom workflows with Nintex
Experience creating and maintaining site collection libraries, lists, and web parts
Experience maintaining SharePoint users, groups, and permissions
Experience developing, testing, debugging, and deploying software solutions
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

Knowledge of the software development life cycle
Experience working with databases and knowledge of T-SQL
Experience developing ASP.Net websites
Understanding of web protocols and markup languages.
