Senior Voice/Data Communications Engineer

The senior voice/data communications engineer will support the developmentand enhancement of eVoIP systems on the BroadSoft platform;product integration; emerging technology research; and support andresearch of new security requirements. This position will work under theguidance of an engineering manager to support new projects, provide expertlevel analysis of emerging technologies, vendor software and equipment. The seniorengineer is considered an expert in subject matter as evidenced through acombination of recent work experience, education and industry certifications.

Thisposition will also serve as a point of escalation for service requests notresolved by the help desk team; identify the root cause and resolution ofcomplex technical VoIP problems. Additionally, position will performconfiguration and implementation of test, deployment, and/or productionenvironments in support of O&M activities; deployment of operationalsystems within the customer base; maintenance of Continuity of Operations(COOP) readiness; and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education The candidate must demonstrate self-initiative and a team player attitude and possess and/or become proficient with the BroadSoft BroadWorks platform. The position will provide Tier 3 issues may include the following devices, applications and/or processes:

System Support

BroadWorksconfiguration and support Voice

Messaging configuration and support Networking LAN/WAN

QoS support Mobile devices Installation engineering and support System backups and maintenance Monthlyapplication patching and maintenance release implementation End-User Support

Tier 3 user support for EVoIP applications, features and services via moves,adds, changes, deletes (MACD) BroadWorks

Call Center site Preferred Skills and Education The selected Communications Engineer must have a BS or 12 years of experience. Must have a minimum of ten years related telecommunications with VOIP experience.

Desired experience: Telecommunications/VoIP experience with: BroadSoft, BroadWorks or BroadCloud Unified Communications experience with: BroadSoft, Cisco Call Manager, Interactive Intelligence or other hosted UC platform
