Senior Test Engineer - Microwave Factory Support
BAE Systems is looking for Senior Test Software Engineers to join our Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization. ITE is a rapidly growing discipline within the Engineering organization with the mission to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions which are integrated across all levels of production test. As an ITE Senior Test Engineer you will use your ingenuity to develop production test solutions needed for our Electronic Warfare products. These test solutions will be developed for In-Process (IP), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) ranging from component to systems level analog, digital and RF products.
For the first 3 months, you will fill a critical and immediate need for temporary support for our microwave factory for several modules in production. The work schedule during this time will be three 12-hour shifts (3pm-3am) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Once this temporary support is complete, the employee will then transition to a typical schedule.
In this job you will apply your skills to solve some of our biggest challenges for fielded systems including state of the art radar warning, electronic support measures, broadband electronic attack, and electronic protection. Typical Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Current Secret Clearance is required
Required Hardware skills include:
- Solid knowledge of and familiarity with the use of test instruments (specifically signal analyzer, network analyzer and RF source)
- Skilled in test solution software and hardware integration
- A solid understanding of the functionality and test techniques required for testing RF circuits
- Have a clear understanding of test architectures and software abstractions
- Working knowledge of how a test executive works and the workflow model of a test executive
- Understanding the basic layout of test files and how a test executive uses them
- Capable of interpreting test results data
- Fluent in programming using Keysite-VEE and NI-LabView
•Competent with design and performance testing of RF circuits/assemblies, Digital, Optical, or Analog circuitry
•High Level competency with NI software development tools: LabWindows / CVI and TestStand as well as LabWindows and Keysite VEE
•Knowledge of National Instruments TestStand Process Model
•Design of test adapters (Virginia Panel based integrated TAs, Cabled Fixtures, PWB Fixtures)
•Design experience with a variety of test stands
•Familiarity with defense contractors or similar corporate environment;
