Senior System Adminstrator / Installation Technician

The System Administrator / Installation Technician will be installing or upgrading software: WebTAS, CIDNE and associated mission applications in customer production and training environments. The tasks performed will include:

  • Perform installation/testing of software on both Windows and Unix Systems at AFRL to reduce risks during deployments at customer locations
  • Install or upgrade software for the Program Management Office at customer locations worldwide
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during software installation or upgrade of deployed systems on both physical and virtual environments
  • Apply and ensure systems are security compliant to DoD Standards
  • Create and review reports for installation, upgrade and maintenance of software for the Program Management Office
  • Provide analysis, design, testing, installation and maintenance of evolving technologies to meet the needs of the programs and management.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

Demonstrated experience in Linux/Windows Systems

System Administration Functions: Install & Maintenance of Server OS (Linux & Windows) to include: Patching, Scripting, Imaging, and securing systems to DoD Standards

Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of a virtual environment

Strong written/verbal communications, problem solving, organization and interpersonal skills including willingness and ability to document and share information

Ability to Travel and Work in customer locations worldwide

Security+/OS Certification for DOD 8570 Compliance

Preferred Skills and Education

Knowledge of WebTAS/CIDNE and associate mission applications is a plus

Familiar with SQL Server, PKI, Docker, SCRUM Methodogies, Software Testing

Knowledge of Network Technologies
