Senior Program Protection Engineer

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Program Protection (Information Assurance) Engineer to perform System Engineering tasks related to Security . BAE's mission is to reliably deliver customer-focused, compliant, timely and affordable designs which are integrated across all levels of products that are shipped to our valued Customers.

1) Perform systems security certification, authorization, and accreditation activities in support of NSA Type-1, DoD Risk Management Framework, DoD Anti-Tamper.

2) Perform system security architecture and design in the following contexts: cryptographic modules, access control systems, multi-level security systems, secure file distribution systems, and anti-tamper systems.

3) Develop security design, analysis, and testing documentation which verifies product meets all security requirements.

Develops documentation which provides sufficient evidence that the product meets all systems security requirements in support of DoD certification, authorization, and accreditation activities. Evidence includes appropriate design details, analysis and testing of security features. Analysis could include fault, covert channel, threat and risk information. Testing to include security functional verification and penetration testing.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Security. Secret Clearance Eligible.

• Familiarity with: performing systems security certification, authorization, and accreditation activities in support of NSA Type-1, DoD Risk Management Framework, DoD Anti-Tamper
• Familiarity with : performing system security architecture and design in the following contexts: cryptographic modules, access control systems, multi-level security systems, secure file distribution systems, and anti-tamper systems.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Security -
  • CISSP
  • ISSEP
  • Experience in Type-1 Certification,
  • DoD Risk Management Framework Authorization and Anti-Tamper Design and Authorization.
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills.
