Who You Are:

As part of an advanced networking, communications and cyber research team, perform analytical and experiment-based research and development in the areas of network algorithms, network control, network scaling, resource management, optimization, dynamic adaptation, distributed systems. Design, develop, analyze, and prototype new network and communication algorithms and protocols that address performance and security challenges of emerging technologies. Work spans mobile communication (e.g. ad-hoc, directional, cognitive and cooperative radios) and enterprise networks (e.g., network virtualization, software defined networking and content distribution networking). As a member of the research organization, participate in proposal writing and business development. Interact with leading academic and industry experts in the field and participate in scientific publication.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Proven track record in advancing the state-of-the-art in network, transport and/or application layer protocols for wireless environments. Strong written and oral communication skills are desired to participate in proposal writing and customer interaction. Individual should have strong analytical skills in complex systems evaluation such as network performance analysis and simulation. Hands-on experience with implementation of novel protocols or protocol extensions within the Unix networking stack is desired. Individual must work well within a collaborative laboratory setting and be willing to tackle new research challenges. Preferred Skills and Education

Ph.D. +0-3 years or MS +3-6 years in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
