Senior PCB Designer
The Senior Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designer will design moderate to complex printed circuit board layouts with digital, analog, RF, power circuits and interconnect applications . The PCB designer will place and route components ensuring that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design. The PCB designer will participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and process engineers to design proto-type and production quality printed circuit boards in accordance with BAE Systems standards and procedures. The candidate will create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts list, incorporate changes to existing design documentation and create and maintain component library. The candidate will provide feedback to design engineers as needed to ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs. The candidate is expected to suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations including resolutions to non-standard problems.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Requires an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in the design of printed circuit boards and Rigid Flex
Experience in Cadence Allegro Enterprise.
Experience in designing multi-layer printed circuit board component layout and routing for military aircraft, ground vehicles and ships.
Proven problem solving skills.
Capacity and motivation for hard work.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills both written and oral.
Candidates should demonstrate sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
Preferred Skills and Education
Organized, flexible and able to multitask in a dynamic team environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with design and manufacturing engineers.
Knowledge and experience designing with through-hole via, micro-via and blind-via construction techniques and .5mm BGA pitches.
Knowledge of high-speed signal routing and controlled impedance routing techniques.
Experience with Printed Board Fabrication houses and manufacturing guidelines.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret/apply design and drafting industry standards (e.g. IPC, ASME/ANSI).
