Senior Network Engineer - Fielding

Job Description

BAE Systems Panama City FL has an opportunity for a stand-out Senior Network Administrator with DOD software fielding experience - for our Modeling Simulation Engineering Analysis and Tactics (MSEAT) contract.

As part of our dynamic team, will be responsible for assisting Naval System Warfare Center Panama City Division in supporting various ships, equipment, and warfare laboratories. The Ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with US Navy networks and be a subject matter expert with HBSS & firewalls.

This position will entail up to 50% travel, both CONUS & OCONUS.

U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance are required for this position.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Familiarity with DOD networks, HBSS, firewalls, etc.

Knowing how Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) affect software functionality and performance.

Formulating mitigations for implementation of security settings that will allow for necessary software functionality.

Maintaining IT hardware including configuration control troubleshooting, installations, and upgrades.

Support configuration, installation, upgrade, and maintenance of software.

Support system/network protection, intrusion detection and monitoring, security policy enforcement, risk and vulnerability assessments, security evaluations and audits, and contingency planning.

Support the installation of required patches and IA Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA).

Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Host Based Security System (HBSS) integration.

SME for implementation across multiple Government networks utilizing HBSS .

Preferred Skills and Education

Installation and configuration of Program SW on systems/servers both physical and virtual QA of all Program Systems.

Build Checkout of all Program Systems.

Support of fielding MNT on multiple network configs (NMCI SIPR, ISNS, CANES, ONENET, Standalone networks, etc) for both physical and virtual machines.

Familiarity with NSWC PCD Practices and Procedures.

Experience with Windows Servers, SSL Certificates, PostgreSQL, VMware, and/or Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (ADLDS).
