Senior Logistics Engineer
Seeking an experienced Product Support/ Logistics Engineer to lead the execution of new acquisition programs or follow-on production programs for various types of electronic systems while closely tracking earned value management status and risk areas.
Individual needs to be a self-starter that is well versed and has demonstrated experience in all areas of product support planning, design support to influence systems architecture for cost effective product support, and development/delivery of work products; as well as planning and applying product support capabilities for fielded products including organic depot planning.
Must also possess a good working knowledge of technical publication and training requirements, tools, and activities, with familiarity with interactive electronic technical manual specifications, tools, and techniques.
Must possess familiarity with reliability and maintainability engineering and system/product safety.
Individual will guide or develop logistics deliverables on projects and proposal efforts. Individual should be an agile thinker and executor able to move from a strategic level to the implementation level in interactions with multiple disciplines, audiences and groups.
Must be able to identify cost effective logistics strategies appropriate to the project and product life cycle.
On all efforts, emphasis is placed on designing for increased reliability to enable a reduced logistics footprint and an affordable product support program, leveraging PBL strategies or other support strategies.
Active Secret with ability to obtain higher level clearance.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Bachelor Degree in Engineering; 8 years of experience working as a Product Support/ Logistics Engineer.
Experience with the principles, requirements, and development tools for the following engineering tasks: Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Estimating, Logistic Product Data (LPD)/Logistics Maintenance Information (LMI), Provisioning, Technical Documentation & Training, Maintenance Task Analysis, Diagnostic Analysis, Packaging, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T), principles of Performance Based Logistics. Familiarity with Reliability and Product/System Safety.
Strong skills in written and verbal communications . Proficient with technical presentations to senior management.
Must currently have a Secret security clearance, and have the ability to obtain a higher or special security clearances.
This job requires 10% travel. Preferred Skills and Education Experience in managing technical personnel, with hiring/performance management highly desired.
Experience with technical proposal activities including Technical Volume development, as well as Basis Of Estimate and man-power estimation production.
Hands-on experience with Logistics tools, as an example: COMPASS/CASA, SLICWave/Eagle. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software products.
Experienced as a customer Training instructor.
Good working knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety is strongly desired to ensure emphasis is placed on designing for high levels of availability .
Higher levels of clearance desirable.
