Senior Intelligence Special Advisor

BAE Systems is seeking motivated individuals who want the opportunity to support the War on Terror in Afghanistan.

Global Analysis and Operations currently has an opening for a Senior Intelligence Special Advisor. The Senior Intelligence Special Advisor will serve as a senior analytical advisor on an intelligence analytical team of military and/or DoD civilian analysts in support of CJ2 analytical requirements

The Senior Intelligence Special Advisor functions as a liaison and military assistant enhancing the flow of information between selective Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) officials and designated ISAF/USFOR‐A and other commands’ staff.

Senior Intelligence Special Advisors interact with General Officer, SES and executive and ministerial level officials so must possess an understanding of and ability to adapt to VIP protocols and tact. The Senior Intelligence Special Advisor shall maintain situational awareness of the policies of the Commander ISAF/USFOR‐A and key intelligence issues within the ANSF, including Ministry of Defense (MOD), Ministry of Interior (MOI), National Directorate of Security (NDS).

These individuals will work on a daily basis with ISAF/USFOR‐A, ANSF, GIRoA and/or other applicable staff on GIRoA National Security Architecture, Strategic partnership initiatives, intelligence sharing, and any initiatives or issues that arise either through guidance from the Commander or from ISAF/USFOR‐A CJ2 leadership.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

Education – Bachelor’s Degree

Experience – 12 to 16 years military experience in Military Intelligence, Strategic Intelligence, Special Operations, Area Intelligence, or Multi INTs within DoD or equivalent Government agencies such as MOS 35M – Human Intelligence Collector (HUMINT Collector), 18F Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant, 180A SF WO, USMC- 0211 Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) Specialist; 0231 Intelligence Specialist, U.S. Navy – Navy Intelligence Specialist, USAF-1N7×1 Human Intelligence Specialist, 1N7×1 Intelligence Fusion Analyst, 7XOS1- Special Investigator (SI)


Special skills or qualifications -

  • Multiple deployments to different AORs Superb communication skills
  • Requires submission of an unclassified analytical writing sample on Afghanistan , Pakistan, Iran, AI Qaeda, the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, ISIS, or the HIG (250 word minimum) with resume
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills Proficient at briefing senior leadership at the 06 level
  • Proficient in utilizing advanced computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development
  • Expert knowledge in the following areas : SWA regional issues, political analysis

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Education – Master’s Degree
  • Experience mentoring junior and mid-level Intelligence Analysts in the accomplishment of intelligence products and assessments
  • Experience working with DoD Special Operations intelligence
  • Language skills
