Security Spec II

Individual will work under the guidance and direction of the Security Manager. The assignments of the Security Specialist II - ACPSO are focused on supporting the administration of a robust security program for several projects in a dynamic environment. The primary responsibility of the ACPSO is to support the implementation of all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on DoD 5205.07 SAP Manual, Vols 1-4, and exhibit the dedication and expectation of a skilled security professional while working under the direct supervision of the CPSO. The ACPSO works as a team player, exhibits flexibility, manages priorities, and meets customer expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ACPSO interacts with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties.

Success in this position will prepare you for future CPSO opportunities, as such, there may be an opportunity to perform as CPSO for a small to medium sized stable program.

Additional assignments include: physical security, information security, security education and awareness, document & media control, personnel security, data transfers, visitor control, maintain security files, handle & processing classified documents, and other security support activities as assigned by the CPSO. Prepare and conduct Program Security Awareness Briefings, develop security plans, goals, and objectives to comply with existing directives and future requirements. Briefing & indoctrinate program personnel on the proper application of security procedures. Interpret and provide classification guidance to employees, participate in self-inspections as well as CSA reviews, and investigate security incidents. Support other security related tasks as assigned by the Security Manager. Normal office environment; may work extended hours, weekends, and carry on-call pager. Local travel, throughout the Southern New Hampshire region will be required routinely. Other travel may be required on a limited basis.
