The selected candidate will administer the overall security program for the Southern Maryland BAE Systems facilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development of security procedures in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM) and other government related guidance.
Serve as the security manager to several other BAE Systems associated sites assisting FSOs at those locations with problem resolution and development/management of their security program.
Classified material management consisting of assigning document control numbers, database management and document tracking using the Security Information Management System (SIMS).
Ensure compliance with government and company security policies, procedures and directives, to include BAE Systems Special Security Agreement (SSA) requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of compliance standards and policies in supporting SSA and BAE Systems requirements.
Process new employee security clearances/periodic re-investigations through JPAS in coordination with the BAE Systems Clearance Processing Center (CPC) and conduct electronic fingerprinting using the Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) site.
Process incoming and outgoing visit requests using JPAS or site specific procedures.
Create briefings and provide security training and oversight to all employees on Industrial Security policy and procedures, Insider Threat, suspicious contacts/activities and espionage, sabotage, terrorism and subversive activities.
Manage badging and access control to all Southern Maryland BAE Systems sites for employees, subcontractors and government personnel. Oversee the physical security and alarm system at all locations.
Investigate and report security violations and incidents reports. Provide written reports to the Defense Security Service (DSS) or security management.
Process employees for Common Access Cards (CAC) and request background investigations through the government security office for those without DoD clearances
Function as the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
Serve as the COMSEC custodian ensuring compliance with NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16.
Serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) for the Special Access Program ensuring compliance with the JAFAN 6-1, 6-3, 6-4 and 6-9.
Perform other security duties as required.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary’s County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary’s County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Minimum Education and Experience High School diploma and 14 years of related experience OR Associate degree and 10 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience Required Skills and Education Active Top Secret security clearance and ability to maintain
Experience working in classified environments on all aspects of classified areas (i.e. access control, accountability, inventories, audits/inspections, emergencies, incidents, reports, alarms)
Experience in conducting security inspections
Experience with personnel security (JPAS, eQIP, SWFT)
Working knowledge of Security Information Management System software (SIMS)
Working knowledge of NISPOM, DOD instructions, security classification guidance
Working knowledge of government classified contract process to include DD 254s generation
Ability to understand, explain, interpret and apply rules, regulations, directives and procedures
Working knowledge of all MS Office products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High School diploma and 14 years of related experience OR Associate degree and 10 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience
Preferred Skills and Education COMSEC custodian with a working knowledge of DIAS
Special Access Program experience with an understanding of JAFAN requirements
Working knowledge of Foreign Ownership, Control, Influence (FOCI) policies and procedures and management of a Special Security Agreement.
