Section Lead for RF Front End and Converter Capability Group

The Technology Solutions RF Front-end and Converter Capability Group (Nashua, NH) is seeking a strong Section lead for the RF Front End group. Candidates should have experience leading teams and projects, managing schedules, generating responsible bids, assessing technical reviews and work products, monitoring a portfolio of projects, tracking and trending metrics, implementing HW process, managing HW Initiatives, working with deliverable Product, and supporting customers. This is a Direct Labor position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as functional manager for 10-15 engineers, EAs, and/or technicians
  • Fulfill and negotiate staffing resources to support Program needs
  • Serve as technical lead or principal investigator on Capability Group programs and HW Initiatives
  • Assist with root cause and corrective action investigations
  • Support proposals, bids, BOEs, Execution reviews, CARs, technical reviews, Initiatives, and report generation
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

  • 10+ years relevant design experience with specialization in RF, microwave, or millimeter-wave engineering
  • Experience designing RF/Microwave Receiver Front Ends
  • Experience in DFM, DFT, and DTUPC applied design principles
  • RF/Microwave Test proficiency
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering or scientific field

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience designing tuner modules and frequency converters
  • Zero Defect design philosophy and practice
  • Familiarity with system-level analysis, specification generation, and transition to production
  • Experience designing leading-edge hardware modules with a focus on small size, low noise, wide bandwidth and/or high linearity
  • Familiarity with electronic warfare or radar systems, with ability to partition functional blocks, and perform system-level path analysis
  • Masters or PhD degree in engineering or scientific field
