Scheduler I

Summary

Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existingprograms. Continued maintenance and analysis of project schedules. Develops,measures, and reports project plans and status. Develop cost reports, monitorbudgets and provide key project tracking data. Determines, monitors, andreviews manpower requirements. Analyzes effects of projects upon various areassuch as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the mostpractical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedulerevisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements. Thecandidate will also interact with the other team members within the companysuch as program management team members (Finance, Ship Superintendents, ProjectManagers, Program Managers, Craft Managers, Safety, and Quality Dept.),employees and other customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create accurate project master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to production forecasts or customer work specifications and drawing orders.

Organize and run project models and craft planning schedule review meeting with production and subcontractors.

Analyze production specifications and capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, and manpower resource requirements.

Provide project schedule analysis to Project Manager, listing critical activities, displaying activities that are behind schedule, and providing a mitigation plan to recover schedule.

Maintain continuous communication with customer, Government Project Managers and BAE Systems Project Team on the progress of the project and schedule.

Expedite operations that delay schedules, and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions and devise “what if” scheduling scenarios based on potential new and growth work.

Assist in the continued indoctrination of planning and production personnel in the planning and scheduling process.

Input production resource data into Microsoft Project.

Ensure that requirements of the safety handbook are properly followed and enforced.

Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned.
