SCA Drafter II

The selected candidate will prepare moderately complexmechanical and electrical Solidworks and AutoCAD drawings and make updates toredlined drawings as required. Drawings support engineering andfabrication of both mobile and fixed site communication systems and theirintegration into shelters, vehicles, buildings, transit cases, andequipment racks. Drafting is conducted in accordance withASMEY14.100-2013 standards. Additional responsibilities may include 3D modeling with Solidworks 2015 toshow graphical representations of system layouts.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St.Mary’s County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval AirStation.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicantsmust be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate themselves toSt. Mary’s County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Skills and Education

High school diploma and 3-5 years of drafting experience

Drafting Certificate from a Technical School

Proficiency with AutoCAD and Solidworks

Dimensioning and Tolerance per ASME Y14.5-1994

Mechanical aptitude to visualize in 3D

Flexibility to work on several different projects concurrentlyExperience with AutoCAD
