Quality Specialist - Space 2ND Shift

The Space Quality Specialist has multiple responsibilities below.

Quality Assurance Visual Mechanical Inspection (QAVMI)

The QAVMI inspector is the last person to review product prior to presentation to the customer

QAVMI inspector is responsible for inspecting the hardware (circuit cards and modules) and paperwork to ensure no defects are present

Any defect found needs to be documented, communicated to the operator and inspector, and the rework coordinated to completion.

The Quality Specialist will create rework plannings

The Quality Specialist will have expertise in the manufacturing and inspecting of circuit cards

The candidate will have strong experiential knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 and IPCA-610

The candidate will be confident and able to deliver constructive feedback

The candidate will be energetic, flexible and focused on meeting internal goals

The candidate will have a drive for process improvement

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Proficient in the hand assembly of circuit cards

Proficient in Microsoft suite Preferred Skills and Education

Education – High School Degree with 6+ years of experience or Associates Degree with 2+ years experience. Experience is in manufacturing.

Experience with Quality Systems.

Experience with space manufacturing.
