Quality Inspector III - Receiving / In-Process

Inspect incoming vendor products for conformity to documented specifications. Inspect outgoing customer products for conformity to documented specifications.

Compile inspection data and electronically file for historic retrieval.

Performs audits relative to product quality in relationship to established procedures and work instructions.

Performs basic inspection and testing of incoming parts, subassemblies or products to ensure consistency with applicable documentation and specifications. Inspects products for solder, mechanical assembly, wiring and workmanship defects.

Checks production work order packages for accuracy including revisions of work orders and engineering change orders.

Audits areas of operation for compliance with established procedures.

Segregates rejected material from accepted material, controlling such until disposition is made. Prepares acceptance documents as appropriate for finished products.

Performs shipping inspections as needed.

Records inspection results on quality control records and forms. May use computer terminal for systematic data entry.

Assists operating departments with corrective actions.

Assists with internal audits of Quality Management System.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education Using drawings and specifications, candidate must be experienced with inspections of electronics, electro-mechanical assembly, mechanical parts included fabrication and special processing. This will include examination of documentation, measurements of parts, and possibly testing of items.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED and 4 year(s) related experience

Must be able to read and interpret product specifications to include blueprints.

Must have experience using of basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, hole gauges, radius gauges, etc.

Must have experience using precision measuring equipment and reading and interpreting industry standards
