Quality Assurance Representative

This position is a part-time role scheduled for 25 hours per week.

This position provides quality expertise to meet the design,documentation and quality requirements for a variety of aviation/aerospace related products and services. Included but not limited to this expertise isthe ability to analyze, test, and report findings of Root Cause/Corrective Action and suggest improvements to the organization’s processes and configuration of the products or designs. Candidate must possess the necessary education, experience and technical abilities to review, understand, and interpret documentation, drawings and specifications, in accordance with military, commercial, and federal standards. In addition the incumbent must be computer literate and possess excellent communication skills.

Experience with US Air Force Technical Orders and Drawings.Knowledge of quality standards including AS 9100. Experience with the management of nonconforming materials, performing corrective action, and performing root cause analysis.Experience with development of quality inspection and test procedures and work instructions.

The candidate must also be able to:

Support the Quality Assurance objectives

Communicate Quality Assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization

Review data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures

Develop solutions to problems identified during quality assurance activities

Prepare and present technical and program information to the management team and other diverse groups

Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards

Liaison effectively with government and industry personnel in oral and written communications

Investigate and address customer complaints regarding quality

Establish, track, analyze and report key quality metrics

Promote a culture of quality awareness

Oversee the maintenance of organizational certifications,e.g., AS9100

Participate in and lead auditing of the quality management system

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree or equivalent experience and 4 years of quality

experience in a design, testing, manufacturing or production environment

Must have experience in electronic manufacturing repair and

testing of military and commercial hardware to include but not limited to

avionics electronics, aircraft electronic enclosures, cable assemblies, power

supplies, and circuit boards.

Must understand and be able to apply basic quality

inspection and electronic testing techniques; must be able to read and

comprehend assembly drawing and component data sheets, including geometric

dimensioning and tolerancing.

Candidate must be knowledgeable of technical terms and

characteristics of electronic and non-electronic components. Position requires

strong communications skills plus software skills using MS Office to include

Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.

Preferred Skills and Education

Extensive experience with US Air Force Technical Orders and


Knowledge of quality standards including AS9100

Experience with the management of nonconforming materials,

performing corrective action, and in performing root cause analysis

and work instructions

IPC-A-610 Training & Certification

IPC J-STD-001 Certification

IPC WHMA-A-620 Certification

Experience with inventory control, inventory management,

shipping and receiving, counterfeit parts prevention

Workplace Safety programs, OSHA standards and Risk
