Program Manager- Public Private Partnerships

BAE Systems Platforms and Services is currently seeking a Program Manager (Public Private Partnership) to support the Combat Vehicles Program in Anniston, AL.

Job Summary:

Lead the execution of Public Private Partnership (P3) activities performed at US Government (USG) depots and arsenals in coordination with product and functional POC’s. Support the execution of program requirements by identifying potential opportunities and developing a structured program support plan that effectively meets the needs of the depot customer and supports the longer term strategic goal of developing partnerships. Perform all programmatic activities in conjunction with the product teams beginning with project initiation and development and progressing through execution and closeout with an emphasis on cost, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the USG partner’s P3 approach and pursue future opportunities by aggressively engaging with command-level leadership and fostering a positive understanding and assessment of the intrinsic value BAE Systems brings to depot-level maintenance efforts as an Original Equipment Manufacturer.
  • Oversee multiple projects and contracts to include: hiring and managing staff; organizing, planning and executing work; and controlling program schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure that the defined solution and associated project plan offered in the Bid/Proposal are realistic and achievable in terms of delivery time, resources, and risk.
  • Develop detailed Project Execution plans and integrated schedules with key stakeholders that optimize the balance between customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Ensure program success criteria are clearly defined and facilitate timely communication of program status among project or task managers and staff as a basis for thorough risk and opportunity management.
  • Facilitate timely planning and execution of program tasks to ensure they are consistent with program requirements and fulfill program cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Evaluate current and projected status against the established program baseline plan and maintain accurate records of program data and deliverables.
  • Track program schedule, budget, and activity execution in coordination with cognizant functional management to assure optimum utilization of resources and report status to management.
  • Direct the work activities and schedules of assigned employees and provides input to performance appraisals.
  • Manage the program Lifecycle Management (LCM) Phase requirements throughout project lifecycles to ensure effective implementation and tailoring of LCM and ensure timely closure of program objectives efficiently and as early as practical

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Must have program management experience and experience with the following;

Experience with the USG partner’s P3 approach and pursue future opportunities by aggressively engaging with command-level leadership and fostering a positive understanding and assessment of the intrinsic value BAE Systems brings to depot-level maintenance efforts as an Original Equipment Manufacturer.

Experience overseeing multiple projects and contracts to include: hiring and managing staff; organizing, planning and executing work; and controlling program schedules and budgets.

Experience developing detailed Project Execution plans and integrated schedules with key stakeholders that optimize the balance between customer satisfaction and profitability.

Experience tracking program schedule, budget, and activity execution in coordination with cognizant functional management to assure optimum utilization of resources and report status to management.

Experience managing the program Lifecycle Management (LCM) Phase requirements throughout project lifecycles to ensure effective implementation and tailoring of LCM and ensure timely closure of program objectives efficiently and as early as practical
